Thank you to David and Suzie Lum and everyone else who helped put together and run the Team Time Trial on Sunday, April 20. The feedback was great and we are always glad to have such a nice turnout. Congratulations to all who participated (31 teams entered!).

Mark your calendars for the 2008 Hawaii State Team Time Trial Championship. The event will be at Kualoa Regional Park again and will take place on Sunday, April 20. This will be a 24 mile course that starts and finishes on the Kamehameha Highway near Kualoa Park. The turn around is in front of the Laie Shoping Center at the traffic light. Last year’s turnout was great and a good time was had by all.

Mail-in registration entries must be postmarked before Wednesday, April 16. Walk-in registration will be accepted at McCully Bicycles until Thursday, April 17 and online registration will be available until Thursday, April 17 at Active.com (additional processing fee applies). If you haven’t already heard, Team Astana has not been invited to participate in the 2008 Tour de France (check out the Levi Campaign). Supposedly, Alberto Contador is “iffy” in their eyes. Either that or they aren’t fans of Johan Bruyneel. Either way it comes down to politics. Anyone want “FRENCH” fries? Heh, heh…

Get ready for our first “official” ride of the season…

The Makaha Beach Time Trial is set for Sunday, February 24, 2008. The start and finish is on Farrington Highway at Yokohama Bay/Kaena Point State Park. The ride is approximately 9km to the turn around at Makaha Beach (for a total of approximately 18km). Sign up and pre-register by mail (entries should be postmarked by Wednesday, February 20, 2008) to guarantee that you’ll receive your race shirt. Walk-in registration at McCully Bicycle is also accepted and online registration is available through February 21, 2008 at active.com (additional processing fee applies). So, we used to think that MTV stood for MUSIC Television, right? Yeah, well, as you may have noticed there is barely any music video playing going on much there. So many reality shows. Once in a while there are some decent ones. Ever watched Rob and Big? You should try it sometime.

Thank you to all who participated in the training rides, races, came out to show your support and partied with us. It was an amazing season and the team really grew closer and stronger. Here’s a couple of photos from our End of Season Party.
